If you're visiting this page, we bet you have what it takes to be an important part of the Kentucky Vocal Union. We are beginning our journey to boogie to the lights of Las Vegas at the Barbershop Harmony International contest this July. We would love to have you with us to experience barbershop a cappella KVU style! Our goal is to be the largest we have ever been because we know the stability of the chorus sound is better with 60 guys than with 30 guys. You don’t have to be a world class quartet singer, but you do have to prepare you music, attend rehearsals, learn some riser choreo, and demonstrate you know your words and notes. You can do it!
Our leadership has now set the schedule for rehearsals, music, and choreo development for the Vegas Tour 2017. The tour consists of all meetings scheduled from April 7th to July 8th including performances in Scottsdale and Las Vegas. You may view the schedule, see audition information, and fill out a survey, indicate any conflicts, all by going to our website and clicking on Vegas Tour 2017.
The chorus is growing quickly. We need your commitment to the schedule by February 1st. We have a much shorter rehearsal schedule than other top level choruses. We maintain a high threshold of intense work and solid attendance. Everyone must strive to make each and every rehearsal. Go to our website and find Vegas Tour 2017 for all the specific information and a link to the date commitment survey.
If you have never been with KVU, we are barbershop brothers who care about each other, laugh together, work hard together, and care about making great art for our audience AND members enjoyment. The Vegas time commitment is short, but the payoff is huge!
